This policy explains what information ClaimBao (“we”) receives when you use claimbao.com or contact us about selling a claim, why we need it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

The short version

• The site uses no cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.
• We only get the details you choose to send us. We use them to answer you and, if you decide to sell, to complete the deal.
• We never ask for your FTX password, 2FA codes, seed phrases or private keys, and we never ask for upfront fees.

What you send us

When you ask for a quote, you give us some of the following: the bankruptcy estate (FTX, Terra/Luna, Celsius or another), your FTX Customer Code, the claim amount and class, your country, and a Telegram, WeChat or email contact. The form turns these details into a message. You send it to us yourself, or the site sends it to us directly.

If you decide to sell, we also need to confirm who you are and that the claim is yours: identity documents, proof of address, claim and account records, and the wallet address for your payment. We ask for these only at that stage.

What the site keeps in your browser

• The language you chose (localStorage), so the site opens in it next time.
• A note that you have already seen the Telegram tip during this visit (sessionStorage).

None of this is sent to us, and you can clear it in your browser settings at any time.

Technical data

Like any website, claimbao.com runs on a hosting provider that records technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you open. These logs are used to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

How we use your information

• To reply with an indicative quote and discuss the deal.
• To check the claim and whether you can sell it, including identity (KYC), anti-money-laundering and sanctions checks.
• To prepare the purchase agreement, file the transfer of the claim and pay you.
• To meet legal and record-keeping duties and to prevent fraud.

We do not sell your information.

Who we share it with

• Service providers that help us run the business, such as identity verification, hosting and email. They must keep your information confidential.
• The bankruptcy court and the estate’s claims agent, when a transfer is filed. Court filings can be public, subject to the court’s confidentiality rules.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

When you contact us through Telegram, WeChat or email, those services also process your messages under their own privacy policies.

Where your information is processed

We work with creditors in many countries, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live. We take the same care with it wherever that happens.

How long we keep it

We keep the details of an enquiry only as long as we need them to answer you and follow up. If you sell a claim, we keep the deal records for as long as the law requires, for example for anti-money-laundering purposes.

Your rights

Depending on the law where you live, you can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop using it for a particular purpose. Write to [email protected]. We may first need to confirm your identity, and we keep the records the law requires us to keep.

Security

Only the people who need your information for their work can access it, and we protect it with reasonable technical and organisational measures. We contact you only from our official accounts: Telegram @claimbao, WeChat claimbao and [email protected]. We never write first: if someone contacts you in our name and you haven’t written to us, it isn’t us.

Children

The site and our services are for adults (18+) only. We do not knowingly collect information about children.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
